The 470 (Four-Seventy) is a double-handed dinghy sailing boat. The 470 category has been an Olympic sport since 1976. Every year more than 30 countries from around the world, compete events included in the annual calendar, such as the World Championships, the World Cup (World Cup Series & Final), the European Championships, international races, as well as the World and European Under 23 Championships. Greece has a great tradition in this specific class which includes many World and Olympic successes both in the men’s (Mandis – Kagialis, Kosmatopoulos -Trigonis) as well as in the women’s categories (Bekatorou – Tsoulfa). Our Team thus far has managed to win a 2nd and 3rd place in the Under 23 World Championships, a 3ed place in the European U23 Championships, and we are the raining Greek Champions in the women’s category for 2016. Since the end of 2016, our Team is primarily focused on qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

OUR 2017 GOALS
By achieving our above goals, our team will be one step closer to its qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, which will be decided in events that will take place during 2018 and the 2019.
2017 COST ANALYSIS
The National Federation, our Families and our Club can only cover a portion of the monies required for us to be able to cover our 2017 budget and compete. We are trying to raise through Crowdfunding €4.000, in order to complete our budget and cover the following expenses:
- Transport of equipment to the events.
- Airplane tickets for our team and our coach.
- Fuel for the escort boat (during training and races)
- Room and Board at the events
- Entry fee for the competitions
- Maintenance, repair and replacement of equipment.
